Leave the Earth a Better Place at the End of the Day

ree

Something in the air feels… off. Can you feel it too?

It’s like a low hum of tension, a background static that buzzes beneath the surface of our daily lives. The world is shifting, and not just environmentally, though that’s certainly happening; it’s also energetically. There’s a pressure building, and for many of us, it feels heavy, uncertain, maybe even a little dark.

But here’s the truth I keep returning to: We are not powerless.

As someone who has always been highly sensitive (a trait I once saw as a flaw, but now fully embrace as a gift), I feel it deeply; in my chest, in my gut, sometimes even in the tears that rise unexpectedly when I witness pain in the world. Whether you consider yourself sensitive or not, I know you’ve felt it too. It’s the collective energy we’re living in, and it can be overwhelming.

So what can we do?

Here’s what I know for sure: leadership of any kind starts with presence. And the smallest acts of presence, of love, kindness, and awareness, can create ripple effects more powerful than we imagine.

Today, I invite you to leave the earth a little better than you found it.🌱

Not by adding another task to your to-do list. But by making a subtle, intentional shift in how you show up in the world. We can shift the energy. We can elevate the field. And it doesn’t require grand gestures or adding one more thing to your already full plate.

It starts with the small things. The sacred, simple things.

Yesterday, I went for a run in the pouring rain. The kind of run that soaks you through but leaves you smiling from the inside out. As I passed others on the path — some drenched, some grumpy, some seemingly lost in thought — I smiled. I smiled whether they looked at me or not. I smiled because I could. Because maybe, just maybe, it would lift their energy. And that alone felt like enough.

Sometimes we think leadership has to be grand. But real leadership lives in the smallest choices, especially when no one is watching.

💜 Pick up the trash on the sidewalk.

💜 Forgive someone who annoyed you.

💜 Offer a kind glance or warm smile to a stranger.

💜 Send a message of love — without needing a reply.

💜 Say thank you and really mean it.

💜 Pause before reacting and choose compassion instead.

These aren’t big things. But collectively, they change the energy of the room, the community, the world.

I wonder what might happen if 100 of us did this every day?

What if it became 1,000?

Or 1,000,000?

It starts with us. Leave the earth better than you found it.Not because you should, but because you can.And because it’s how we lead from love.

With heart,

ree

PS: PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO OTHERS SO WE CAN MAKE A BIGGER IMPACT WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS
