Not for ‘Likes’- But for Heart

I have a love-hate relationship with social media. And lately? It’s leaning more toward “we’re taking a break.”

The other day, I overheard two women on the trail talking about how drained they’ve been feeling by social platforms. I smiled to myself—because I know I’m not alone.

The truth is, social media is neutral. It’s not the villain. It’s our relationship to it—and the energy we bring—that makes all the difference.

And if I’m honest? My attitude needed a reset.

I caught myself judging, disagreeing, and then retreating. Hiding.

But the real question is: What energy am I contributing to the space?

Am I adding more of what I want to see in the world… or just pulling away and calling it a day?

So I’ve decided to try something different.

What if I show up with more love?

Not to seek attention—but to give it.

Not for likes—but for heart.

This time of year always calls me inward.

And this year? That call is louder than ever.

I’ve found myself dreaming about a cozy cave—quiet, dark, restorative.

The impulse to pull back and turn inward has slowed my momentum with social media, and I’m okay with that. I accept it. I own it.

But recently, a new whisper has been rising:Not a push to hustle or produce… but a gentle nudge to share again.To post with love. To create from truth.To stop worrying about the algorithms and start touching hearts.

Because I don’t want likes.I want connection.I want to share what lights me up—in the hope it might light something in you, too.

So today, I’m offering something that always brings me home: nature.🌿

She’s my daily medicine, whether it’s walking the trails behind my house or strolling to the chicken coop.

Even just stepping outside and glancing up at the sky—it all counts.

Nature matters. And we all have access to her, even in tiny doses.

So if you see me peeking back into the world of social media, know this:

I’m not here for the likes.I’m here for the love.

And if something I post touches your heart, that’s more than enough.

I don’t need anything back.
