Silencing the World to Hear Your Wisdom

Let’s be real, our time is being hijacked.
Hijacked by the “black box” in our hands.
Hijacked by the endless flow of texts, emails, spam calls, pop-up alerts, news notifications, and the infinite scroll that never stops.
The latest research says the average adult spends over 7 hours a day on screens. That’s nearly half our waking hours. Let that sink in!
And yet—we all get the same 24 hours in a day. So how are we spending them?
Are we doom-scrolling ourselves into anxiety?
Responding to long, emotionally-charged texts instead of having a vulnerable conversation and hearing someone’s voice?
Getting sucked into social media spirals while the real magic of life i.e, the person across the table, the bird outside the window, your own breath, is quietly passing us by?
I’ll be honest with you. I just got a spam call as I typed this sentence! (see screenshot and no, I did not answer! But it still stole a few seconds of my life.)

That one call and interruption pulled me below the line—I could literally feel the shift to …agitation, distraction, a small leak in my energy field.
And if I’m not conscious about it, those tiny leaks? They add up.
By noon, I’m depleted. Not because the day was hard, but because I let a thousand little pings scatter my presence.
It’s time to reclaim our power!
We don’t need to live in digital defense mode, reacting all day.
We get to choose what we allow in.
This isn’t about disconnecting from the world or ignoring important news. It’s about choosing discernment over distraction.
It’s about pausing to ask:
What impact is this having on my body, my energy, my leadership?
When you feel that subtle tension rising, that scrolling trance taking over, that clickbait outrage pulling you under, take a moment to pause and breathe.
Come back to your body.
Come back to your values.
Come back to the moment.
🕊 Mindful Morning: Reclaiming Your Day
In a recent talk, I shared what I believe to be one of the most powerful tools for reclaiming presence and energy: A mindful morning.
Here’s what I teach—and what I live:
📵 Don't pick up your phone first thing. Not even for “just a quick peek.” The moment you do, your day belongs to everyone else. Protect your inner space before the outside world comes rushing in.
🧘♀️ Sit in stillness or breathe for 5 minutes. Just five minutes to check in with your breath, your body, and your own energy before you take on the world.
🗣 Shift your language—internally and externally. Your words carry vibration. Your inner dialogue sets the tone for your outer experience. Speak to yourself and others with intention and care.
We can’t always do this alone. Whether it’s a coach, a mentor, or a friend, have someone to reflect with, to remind you who you are when you forget.
Let this be your gentle reminder:
You have the power to unplug from distraction and reconnect to presence.
Because your time isn’t just valuable, it’s sacred.
With love and intention,
